FIRST RELEASE EXCLUSIVE -
For a limited time, only Nothing Normal Nursery customers will be privileged to be the first buyers anywhere on the globe to obtain this remarkable new introduction. Habit

Distinctly weeping with numerous densely arranged branches. When high grafted on a standard, the branching is almost parallel to the main trunk, remaining so for a number of years before gradually gaining breadth. Plants that are trained from the ground will likewise carry this trait, but the outline is somewhat more free form and less formal than the high grafted types. If trained very low and used in mass, this fast weeper can create a wave-like groundcover effect. As if the above is not enough, the trunk can also be trained, or offered, serpentine style, to create a more artistic look.

Foliage & Bark

This variegated beauty is an anomaly among flowering cherry, even more so having been discovered on a weeping form. Various color changes emanate through the growing season with unfolding leaves peach, light saffron when open, then quickly switch to lemon chiffon. With age the yellow dominance gives way to cream, cream-white or pure white in shadier sites. The dark green flecks appear early on, but as the leaves mature, larger irregular patches of dark green settle in close to the midrib. in addition, a mix of sage and mint green radiate out towards the blade, often edged cream or white at the apex.

Flower & Fruit

Precocious and prolific in bloom, appearing mid-March to early May, depending on location. The 1" wide flowers cover the branches and initially light pastel pink flowers cover the branches. The sepal and intricate filaments in the center are a darker pink with yellow anthers. After the inaugural display the flower is pure white in all respects for the rest of the season.
