Habit

Small deciduous tree, usually multi trunk or low branched. The outline is loosely oval, with an open spreading character.

Foliage & Bark

This form was selected for its aberrant patches of both dark and light green accompanied by a generous margin of margin cream-yellow. The spear shaped leaves are 3-6" wide and up to 6" long. The green tones will give way to darker reds and purples as fall approaches, yellow-gold with some lighter red tones are also present. Afternoon shade would be recommended.

Flower & Fruit

Fragrant, ivory white paniculate flowers are borne in 4-6" long clusters on the old growth in April and May. The fruit is olive-like, blue black in color, usually from July to September.
