A new slow growing dwarf selection that makes a thickly arranged rounded shrub or small tree. Ginkgo generally are tough durable plants accepting a wide range of soil acidity and alkalinity, soil types and temperatures – particularly high heat – and also tolerant of salt and air pollution.
Foliage:
Unlike many of the dwarf forms this one cannot make up its mind as to what leaf type to exhibit, as a result it operates on an “all of the above” type philosophy. The typical dual lobed leaf that Ginkgo are known for will appear here and there but mostly the peculiar shapes are more prevalent. Variances can be rolled, tubular, linear as a single thin lobe or linear with split lobes, along with just about everything in between, often several types can be seen on a single branch. The fall color is the typical rich golden yellow that is common to this Genus.

No significant ornamental characteristics noted.

This rare first offering originated as an undiscovered broom which was a gift from the famed nurseryman Joe Stupka of Pulaski PA. Joe passed on July 25th 2019 and we are privileged to be one of the first to propagate his old, and now newly released, selection. I can also report that work is being done with his heirs to come up with a more fitting name.
