PLEASE NOTE - OUR PLANT PURCHASE AND SHIPPING INVOLVES A TWO STEP PROCESS
Box shipping plants of differing amounts, sizes and pot dimensions requires a fair amount of effort to provide the best protection in transit and the most economical price. To that end we have chosen not to automate the shipping cost when ordering online.
All of our plants will be sent with the pot. If you desire to have your order partially de-potted (bagged) or completely bare root to save on shipping cost, we can easily accommodate that request with a small fee for labor and preparation.
ORDERING – VIA SHOPPING CART
Clicking on “Plant List” at the top of the home page will get you to our online offerings, each item has its own descriptive page with drop down arrows to the left with a detailing on various aspects. Price, size, and an option to “Add to Cart” is at the bottom of each page.
Once an item is ordered the black circular shopping cart icon will appear in the upper right corner of the page. This icon will stay in place no matter which plant pages you choose to visit. When you are ready to view a summary of your order simply click on that button to see your order. There will also be an x to the right of each item if you want to cancel.
ORDERING – VIA AVAILABILITY LIST
At the top of the “Plant List” page you will find a link to our larger availability – this document predictably will change from time to time and may come to you via email as well if you have purchased from us previously. While plants from the online list will also be included, any inquiries on other rarities from this list will require an offline method for purchase. This can be accomplished by submitting your plant name, size and amount by email or going to our “Contact Us” page and filling in the message box.
Upon receipt of that inquiry, we will correspond via email as to shipping and handling costs and provide a confirmation document. Once you have received and approved the amount, please let us know if you prefer payment by check of credit card (by emailing back to us). If CC payment is desired, we will then prompt PayPal to request payment by using their “request money” option. This comes via email from PayPal and will include a link that will take you to their secure pay page, allowing payment by card or PayPal balance.
ONLINE PLANT PAYMENT
Once finalized, click on “Check out with PayPal” button at the bottom, which will take you directly to a secure PayPal page where you can pay by card or PayPal balance. Once that transaction is finalized your order will be reserved for you regardless of ship date.
SHIPPING PAYMENT FOR ONLINE PURCHASE
The amount for shipping and handling will come to you from us via email to the address you provided. This will include all charges along with questions about timing and ship by air options, if pertinent. Once you have approved the charges (by emailing back to us) we will prompt PayPal to request payment by using their “request money” option. This comes via email from PayPal and will include a link that will take you to their secure pay page, allowing payment by card or PayPal balance.
PLEASE NOTE
PayPal fees of 3.89% plus $0.49 attributed to shipping and handling cost will be added to the estimate. Wherever possible shipping estimates will include added insurance in case of damage during transit. If you decide not to proceed for whatever reason a full refund will be credited back to your card through PayPal, or in the form of a refund check mailed out to the address you provided for shipping.
OTHER PAYMENT OPTIONS FOR ONLINE PURCHASES
If you prefer not to pay by credit card simply email us with your plant list and we will tabulate shipping and plant costs in a confirmation document sent back to you via email (or snail mail), whereupon you can mail payment to us by check or money order to an address that will be provided.
SHIPPING METHODOLOGY
Our primary mode for most of our shipping is FedEx or UPS, in some cases we will use USPS.
GROUND
Shipping for fall generally runs from mid-September through the end of November, December shipping is also possible but is always case by case depending on the weather between us. Spring shipping runs from March through mid-June. East coast destinations often take 8 days and depending on weather and plant conditions we may recommend shipping by air. In all cases we will be looking for the mildest weather window.
AIR
Sending your order by air will not be explored unless requested or recommended by us and pre-approved. As a rule, this option if preferred when shipping during the colder or hotter months of the year when ground shipping is not recommended. All orders to Alaska shipped air only.
CLAIMS
All claims for damages caused by the shipper must be made within 5 days of receipt of your order. Claims for damages determined to be due to errors in our boxing procedures will be handled on a case-by-case basis depending on the type and extent of damage. Please provide images of the box and contents. Our liability on plants damaged in shipping will not extend beyond the value of the plants shipped.
GUARANTEE
All our offerings are guaranteed to arrive in viable condition and to be true to name. Any claims regarding non-viable plants must be received within 5 days and accompanied with a photographic representation of the issue. We are not liable for the wide array or other factors such as unseasonable weather, soils & sighting, insect, animals, disease, nutrition, water, or inappropriate zone.
