Habit:
Like most oaks, this one makes a decent size shade tree. The upright oval structure eventually becomes broadly spreading with a rounded semi-open crown. Tolerant of acidic soils.
Foliage:
Festive variegation throughout, generous amounts of white, with sections and scattered suffusion of light and dark green. Fall color patterns are likewise variegated with tones of white, scarlet and orange.
Bark:
Smooth barked and slate gray.
Flower:
No significant ornamental characteristics noted.
Fruit:
Acorns with saucer shaped cups, early autumn. Usually fruit set takes many years to develop.
