Thuja occidentalis ‘Little Filly’

Little Filly Eastern Arborvitae

An up and coming new dwarf or borderline miniature, it is slow growing and forms a dense irregular but pleasingly uniform rounded outline without shearing. Ideal as a stand alone or in groupings where low profile evergreens are desirable. This selection has also proven to be very effective as a hedging plant and readily takes to shearing and shaping – possible substitute for boxwood hedges.

Foliage:
The small bright green leaves are thickly arranged and if left un-sheared the outline is that of a delicately arranged crown of short thread-like shoots. Winter bronzing has not been seen to occur to any significant degree in -22 winter weather.
